Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Cheese and Sausage

Simple, quick and delicious breakfast that always gives me great energy for the miles ahead

1 serving

1/2 cup instant mashed potatoes

1/4 cup cheddar cheese powder (can be substituted for fresh shredded cheddar on shorter trips)

3 Tbsp Dry whole milk

1 tbs garlic powder

1 tsp chives

2 oz Shelf stable sausage of your choice (I usually use Hempler’s no nitrate added Pepperoni)

AT HOME:

Place all ingredients in a Ziploc freezer bag

ON TRAIL:

Boil 10 oz of water. Pour water into the Ziploc bag. Stir.Wait 5-10 minutes and enjoy.
