8/27/17 – Snoqualmie Pass

Day 125
Miles: 2,379.52 to 2,390.66

Total miles hiked: 1,749.62
Home sweet home! We slept surprisingly well considering the amount of runners who passed our site during the night. Even at 5:00 in the morning, there were still some coming.

Another pretty lake along our way

It was nice to see Mirror Lake which was our next big landmark. Afterwards the trail took us through more familiar territory of Olallie Meadow and towards Snoqualmie Pass. Many peaks we climbed in past came to view. I never thought I would be so excited to see I-90 corridor, though the smoke from wildfires nearby partially concealed the views.

Very smoky

Two trail magics awaited us at the pass, and it wasn’t until noon when we finally arrived at Summit Inn. The sign that check in is at 5:00 p.m. scared us a little, we had many chores to take care of and at 4:30 p.m. we hoped to meet with friends. The lady at check in desk promised we can have our room by 3:00 p.m. which would be pushing it but much better than five.

Rest of the day was about resting and meeting wit friends whom we haven’t seen for 4 month. Could not wish for a better nero day.

Great evening meeting with our Washington friends
